popViewControllerAnimated: custom transition animation?

Yes, I have looked for an answer already. None of the solutions work, except one that doesn't give the option for a fade transition, only flip or curl.Like this:methodname configure animation [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated:NO];No matter what variety of transition animation config I try, nothing is visibly different from only using the typical single-line pop. If I change it to …Animated:YES];, I get the standard pop animation, maybe with something weird happening from the broken config. So my question is this: How can I do a pop with, if not Cross...

SF Compact Text in React Native

SF Compact Text doesn't seem to like the React Native environment very much when inserted as a custom font into XCode. Does anyone know how to properly reference the font? I've gone through all the necessary steps but when I try every variation of reference when using 'fontFamily' I seem not to get the text to show. Do I include the hyphen? If I do then what is the 'fontWeight" of Medium? It comes in the following types: There is a way to print out all available fonts in your React Native app. To do so you need to go into your Xcode project and paste the following code i...

How to create a new workspace file in Xcode?

I was moving around my Xcode folder project and I have accidentally deleted the .xcworkspace file (the white one). Is it possible to generate a new one? Like others have suggested, source control would be a great idea if you're not using it already, to protect you in this precise scenario. Github is a great place to start for that. To create a new Xcode workspaceIn the Xcode menu, click File > New > Workspace, then follow the prompts.Once that's done, you'll have an empty Workspace, and you can drag whichever .xcodeproj files in that you wish to the sidebar to add them t...

Reloading PBKeyBindings.dict while Xcode is running

I am creating my Xcode key bindings by editing PBKeyBindings.dict, since this seems to be the way to create commands that are sequences of method calls. This works fine, but one must reload Xcode to have the changes take effect. Is there some way to prod Xcode into reloading this file as it is running? You don't need to touch any dictionary files. You can edit Xcode's key bindings in its Preferences window, and apply any changes you make there immediately by clicking the “Apply” button. [XXX]

Cocoa/apple symbol server

Is there an equivalent in dbg/cocoa/apple word for the Microsoft public symbol server and windbg? So basically does gdb support the concept of a symbol server anddoes apple supply a public URL for their own public symbols? 1) Not really, but you can load symbols from an external file2) NoSee http://zenit.senecac.on.ca/wiki/index.php/Potential_Projects#gdb_symbol_server_support [XXX]The Mac OS X frameworks include symbols (to the extent of function-name and Objective-C information) anyway, so you don't need Apple to provide that information from a server. For your own ap...

GDB cheat sheet

Can anyone recommend a good cheat sheet for gbd? I'm experienced with windbg commands, I'm looking for gdb equivalents for lml (list loaded modules), ~*k (all threads stack), ba (break on access), dt (dump type), dv (dump frame variables), sxe (set up SEH handler) etc.I understand there won't be a 1 to 1 equivalent, but I just need a condensed summary of most used/usefull commands. I use this one personally: gdb's cheat sheet or that link is not broken yet .. .I 've printed it at work. [XXX]http://www.digilife.be/quickreferences/QRC/GDB%20Quick%20Reference.pdf [XXX...

The next question is, how can I get back to my previous sprite? Thanks [XXX]Ok. Damn Simple....

Will I have any issues using a PPC Mac Mini as a build machine for a 10.5+ application while developing on Snow Leopard?

We develop using Xcode 3.2 on Snow Leopard. The application we're developing however targets 10.5+ (Leopard).I'm looking at setting up a continuous integration server (via CruiseControl).I have an old PPC Mac Mini around. I realize that it will only run 10.5 with Xcode 3.1.3.Am I likely to have any luck setting the Mini up as the integration server, or am I likely to run in to too many issues to make it worth the hassle and thus be better off campaigning for an Intel machine? Some things I'm considering:If we start developing iPhone apps we'll be unable to build them on the ...

XCode build works from command line but not in crontab?

AllI've got a script that builds and archives my iPhone app project, then exports an Enterprise package to be copied to public web space. I want to set it up so it does a nightly build for testing. While it works perfectly from command line, it doesn't work at all in cron - it gets to the signing stage and then can't find the provisioning profiles. My script - sensitive details redacted (the appdeploy directory is a mapped samba share to the web server):#!/bin/bashcd ${HOME}/logistics-phonegapif [ -x /usr/libexec/path_helper ]; then eval `/usr/libexec/path_helper -s`fise...
